The Position
2024 Summer Intern - Data & Product Quality Chapter

Department Summary

The Data and Product Quality (DPQ) Chapter at Roche Diagnostics is a dynamic and forward-thinking team dedicated to leading, developing, and delivering the company's strategy. Our primary goal is to ensure that the organization effectively utilizes the Single Points of Contact to the Customer Areas (LCTs) and the Q&R organization, creating a unified voice and maximizing the impact of our resources. We are accountable for all aspects of the Product Quality function, working in line with the Quality Management System to embed data-driven quality practices throughout the organization. Our focus is not only on compliance but also on proactive quality activities, fostering continuity between networks, driving sustainable digitalization, and making data-driven quality decisions. We collaborate closely with the LCTs to resolve quality issues and prioritize them to meet customer demands. Additionally, we maintain a robust Product Quality governance structure and strive for continuous improvement to meet business and compliance needs. Should any significant quality or regulatory issues arise, we communicate them promptly to Executive Management to ensure the highest level of product quality and regulatory compliance.

This internship position is located in Branchburg, NJ, Indianapolis, IN, Tucson AZ on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the implementation of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) across all departments and sites within the organization.
  • Support stakeholder management efforts to ensure alignment and commitment to the OKRs, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) by identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices.
  • Help to identify opportunities for proactive quality approaches, eliminating quality issues and product problems.
  • Work closely with local and international teams to streamline OKR implementation and ensure that established goals and timelines are met
  • Assist in identifying knowledge gaps and contribute to implementation strategy and execution

Program Highlights
  • Intensive 12-weeks, full time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
  • Program start dates are in May/June (Summer)
  • A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.
  • Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
  • Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are
  • Required Education, You meet one of the following criteria:
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student)
  • Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree
  • Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student)
  • Must have attained a Master's Degree
  • Required majors: Business Administration, Life Sciences
  • Desired GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Student organization and/or study abroad experiences are a plus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Complements our culture and the standards that guide our daily behavior & decisions: Integrity, Courage, and Passion.
  • Willingness to go outside of comfort zone and try innovative ideas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated through coursework or projects.
  • A drive to make a difference in the healthcare marketplace
