Hematology/oncology Full-Time position in Reno, Nevada

The William N. Pennington Cancer Institute is expanding their oncology services to provide high-quality care close to home under new Cancer Center leadership.
The Oncology Wellness Physician will play a key role in establishing a Wellness Center. The ideal physician should be a BC MD/DO certified in Lifestyle Medicine, adept at building strong relationships with patients and staff. This position will primarily focus on breast-related cases, while also handling other Oncology referrals.
The Wellness Physician will guide patients through lifestyle interventions, utilizing evidence-based approaches in genetics, lymphedema treatment, weight management, exercise planning, nutrition, sleep improvement, and stress management.
This role brings a unique perspective to the Oncology team, allowing the physician to adopt a holistic approach to treatment.
The collaboration between Renown Health and the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine sets a solid foundation for success at the Institute. The Institute remains dedicated to establishing an NCI designated Cancer Center in Nevada.
POSITION AND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm
- Flexible schedules: 32 clinical hours/week
- Participation in weekly tumor boards
