Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This position is located at Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton, San Diego, California.



Duties
  • Provide direct nursing care and assists patients, of all acuity levels (stable to terminally ill).
  • Assist medical providers with a variety of diagnostic examinations including, but not limited to, lumbar punctures, liver biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, vaginal examination and bone marrow biopsies.
  • Provide customer service to patients, families, visitors, and other medical, nursing, and ancillary personnel throughout the organization.
  • Administer medications by oral, subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular routes under the supervision of a registered nurse or credentialed provider.
  • Maintain paper and computerized medical records on assigned patients during tour of duty including data entry and retrieval.
