​The Green Recruitment Company are pleased to be supporting a leading, global, renewable energy Solar IPP. in search of a Senior Project Manager, to support the growth of their Solar Construction.

US Citizenship or a valid Green Card is required.

The Senior Project Manager assumes responsibility for the comprehensive turnkey management of designated commercial solar construction project(s). Managing multiple construction projects concurrently, each in varying stages, the Senior Project Manager facilitates seamless information flow between the field and office to ensure adherence to contract documents. Reporting directly to the Director of Commercial Construction, successful Project Managers exhibit organizational prowess, attention to detail, adaptability, reliability, punctuality, productivity, and effective teamwork.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with and support the Business Development Department by:

  • Conducting site visits and constructing a viable approach.
  • Moreover, developing project budgets and estimates.
  • Creating proposal scopes of work, milestone schedules, and overall project approaches.
  • Assisting the Business Development team with proposal and presentation preparations.
  • Participating in interviews to secure new business.
  • Furthermore, oversee the preconstruction and design development phase.
  • Utilize the Critical Path Method to develop and manage project schedules from start milestone to finish milestone, ensuring timely project completion.
  • Manage all project financial aspects and ensure accuracy in the project budget and costs.
  • Develop and oversee project safety and crisis management planning, monitoring, implementing, and evaluating on-site project safety with subcontractors.
  • Manage relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
  • Provide and manage overall project document controls.
  • In addition, oversee and complete all post-construction requirements.
  • Lastly, may supervise lower-level staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial construction practices and skills, with a preference for experience in solar or other renewable technologies.
  • Proven track record of managing large, complex projects valued from $10 million to $40 million.
  • Additionally, 10+ years of experience in construction management and/or electrical installation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, analytical, logical reasoning, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and exhibit excellent follow-up skills with both internal and external customers.
  • In addition, professional and concise communication skills.
  • Lastly, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and SharePoint is preferred.
Additionally:
  • Work in both a field-type environment and a professional office setting with local travel to job sites for inspections.
  • Physical working conditions may involve lifting up to 50 pounds, extended periods on active construction sites, including climbing ladders, standing or walking on uneven ground, and exposure to outdoor climates.
