ANTICIPATED TEACHER VACANCY

POSITION:1.0 FTE Middle School Literacy Teacher (Probationary Appointment)

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION


• NYS Literacy Certification Grade 6-8

Literacy Certification K-12 is preferred

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


• Strong understanding of the Science of Reading, including phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension strategies.


• Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching strategies for diverse learners.


• Familiarity with Common Core State Standards and literacy-specific standards.


• Knowledge of assessment techniques for tracking and promoting student progress in reading and writing.


• Proficiency in classroom technology, including educational software
