Summary

The primary purpose of this position is: To provide supply operations, logistics support, and excess/surplus furniture, fixtures and equipment sales for the 9th Services Squadron, Altus AFB, OK. Activities pertain to managing vehicle fleets, equipment, and supplies from several different fund sources for the four different flights within the Services organization.

Duties
  • Manages, controls, and coordinates appropriated fund (APF) and non-appropriated fund (NAF) logistics. Services organization processes for the control and disposition of accountable/non-accountable assets (e.g ., receipt and disposal of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), transfers between activities and other bases, resolution of property account inventory discrepancies, expendable supply item issues, and other logistics accounts matters.)
  • Provides supply support and account management for the Services vehicle fleet.The fleet consists ofwide1y varying vehicles obtained from APFs, NAFs, DRMO, and confiscated vehicle sources. As the Services Vehicle Control Officer (VCO), assigns vehicles to operating activities and ensures all vehicles are properly entered into the automated vehicle reporting system in order to track all vehicles for maintenance and use.
  • Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion. Conducts extensive research of catalog databases (e.g., General Services Administration catalogs, APF Allowance Standards, DRMO listings of available surplus and excess property, etc.) to locate more cost effective available substitutes and/or new products to better meet FF&E requirements.
  • Prepares recurring and special reports. Compiles statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats. Assignments encompass a variety of problem situations and are performed with considerable independence. Enters data in multiple databases. Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
  • Performs administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials. Performs a wide variety of record keeping, updating manuals on policies, directives, reporting, and informational duties in support of the organization's programs, functions. and projects.
  • Uses multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets.
