Job Purpose

Dana Incorporated is seeking to fill a 2024 Fall functional safety engineering co-op position at their Novi, Michigan Technical Center located at 28001 Cabot Drive, Novi, MI 48377. This is a great opportunity to develop your technical skills by working alongside Dana's engineers in the completion of departmental oriented tasks/assignments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Delivery of high quality, product risk assessments in automotive, commercial and off highway vehicle markets.
  • Co-ops shadow one of more of the safety engineers in the Corporate team who will act as a mentor throughout the co-op term, to participate in product risk assessments for powertrain applications.
  • Learn about functional safety standards for the development lifecycle of vehicles in passenger, commercial and off-highway vehicle markets
  • Participate in the continuous improvement effort for Dana's development of processes and templates for functional safety
  • Contribute to the implementation of a global system for executing reviews and training programs

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enrollment & active pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's of Science in Engineering or Engineering Specific majors: Electrical, Electronics, Computer or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Proven work experience, strong analytical ability, & excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Self-directed & motivated individual with great organizational skills.
  • Full-time availability.
  • Good oral & written communication skills.
  • Must be able to interface in a team environment.
