\tYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES\r

\tThe primary responsibilities of this role, Crew Member Lead (Williamsburg, Iowa) are:\r

\r
\t\r
\t\tSelf-motivated, performs with minimal to no supervision;\r
\t\r
\t\tPositively influences workflows and site initiatives for crew members and seasonal employees towards Key Performance Indicator's;\r
\t\r
\t\tProvides daily direction to crew members and seasonal employees;\r
\t\r
\t\tCommunicates work area progress to team members, Seed Technicians, and site leadership;\r
\t\r
\t\tCompetent in safety and quality programs; \r
\t\r
\t\tTrainer for new employees (bilingual) and peers in safety, quality, site operations and equipment;\r
\t\r
\t\tCompletes all required audits or inspections timely and reports any issues as needed;\r
\t\r
\t\tPerforms high-quality work with minimal to no errors or re-work, safely; \r
\t\r
\t\tContinuous improvement mindset can recognize opportunities for improvement, problem solve current work area issues, and brainstorm/implement solutions;\r
\t\r
\t\tReport safety and quality incidents in a timely manner to supervisors.\r
\t\r
\t\tOperate and train team members on work area equipment, which may include but is not limited to tractors, harvesters, shellers, sprayers, counters, flex fillers, sewing machines, and irrigation equipment, as applicable; \r
\t\r
\t\tProficient in current technologies- Collect data, enter data, and train other team members;\r
\t\r
\t\tUnderstands work area data. Can identify and address data issues/discrepancies;\r
\t\r
\t\tResponsible for pedigree system access and data input;\r
\t\r
\t\tLead or assist in other projects and duties as required or assigned.\r
\r

\r
\tBayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:\r

\tRequired Qualifications:
\r

\t\tHigh School Diploma/GED + 2 years of related experience OR 4+ years of related experience;\r
\t\r
\t\tValid Iowa Driver's License and meet company driver criteria;\r
\t\r
\t\tAbility to understand & communicate effectively, both verbally & written;\r
\t\r
\t\tAbility to learn applicable technology, to include (but not limited to) handheld devices and desktop computers;\r
\t\r
\t\tAbility to function both individually and as a member of a team;\r
\t\r
\t\tAvailability to work full-time (40 hours per week) with ability to meet overtime demands including occasional shift work, weekends, and holidays;\r
\t\r
\t\tWilling and able to work in a variety of areas including the seed processing facility, fields, and/or warehouse environment. Frequent walking and standing are required on flat and uneven surfaces. This can include frequent work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions;\r
\t\r
\t\tAbility to climb ladders and occasionally perform elevated work. Must be able to lift, push, and pull pounds regularly;\r
\t\r
\t\tDemonstrated ability to lead and train teams and/or processes.\r
\r

\r
