Whitestone REIT is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Houston market. Reporting to the Director of Property Management and Maintenance Tech, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and the capacity to follow established processes and procedures to successfully complete assigned projects.
Candidates must have a personal vehicle for reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
· Make light repairs and adjustments on plumbing systems as needed;
· Repair interior and exterior finishes and drywall of properties;
· Repair electrical issues within properties;
· Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of properties;
· Repair water pumps and fountains;
· Manage time wisely and productively while working independently;
· Able to complete tasks from start to finish.
Skills and Qualifications:
· High school graduate or G.E.D. required;
· Valid driver’s license required;
· HVAC certification strongly preferred;
· Minimum of two years of general maintenance experience in a commercial environment required;
· Minimum of two years of general plumbing and electrical experience required;
· Ability to do physical requirements such as stooping, climbing, and ability to lift 25 lbs. or more;
· Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions and complete reports, training will be provided; and
