Day-to-Day

A premier oil & gas client located in downtown Houston is looking for a Technical Writer to join their team. This person's main responsibility will be to create, enhance, update, and maintain documents related to Drilling and Completions within the client’s requirement management system (RMS). The ideal candidate will be capable of becoming an expert in the RMS interface, improving upon it, troubleshooting it, and training others in its use. The Technical Writer will track and manage the workflow of documents through the entire revision process. The workload could vary from revising one major technical document to revising multiple small documents at one given time, while balancing other minor projects and tasks. Documents relate to Wells (subsurface, process, coil tubing, wireline, etc.) and include standards, guidelines, references, and specifications. This candidate must be able to collaborate with experts in the field and challenge them. Above all, the Technical Writer must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work onsite Tuesday through Thursday.



Contract/Contract-to-Hire Roles:


Compensation:

$35.00/hr to $55.00/hr.


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.


Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
