Job Title: Site Supervisor


Location: Covington, LA


Job Summary: The Site Supervisor oversees and manages construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining clear communication with the project team and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Management:

-Supervise and coordinate all site activities to ensure project timelines and milestones are met.

-Monitor project progress

-Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the project plans, specifications, and quality standards.


Team Supervision:

-Manage on-site personnel, including subcontractors, laborers, and other site staff.

-Provide leadership and support to the construction team.

-Conduct regular site meetings to communicate project updates and address any issues or concerns.


Quality Control:

-Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship.

-Conduct regular inspections and ensure that any defects or deficiencies are addressed promptly.

-Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.


Resource Management:

-Manage and coordinate the delivery and use of materials, equipment, and tools.

-Monitor and control site costs to ensure the project stays within budget.

-Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.


Documentation and Reporting:

-Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, time sheets, and material usage.

-Document any incidents, accidents, or issues and the actions taken to resolve them.


Client and Stakeholder Communication:

-Maintain clear and open communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

-Address any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

-Attend project meetings and provide updates on site activities.


Qualifications:

-Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

-Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role is preferred.


Skills:

-Strong leadership and team management skills.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

-Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.

-Solid understanding of construction techniques, processes, and safety regulations.

-Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.


Physical Requirements:

-Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

-Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.

-Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.


Working Conditions:

-Work is performed primarily on construction sites.

-Exposure to noise, dust, and other elements typical of a construction environment.

-Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
