Seeking a SCADA/MES Data Engineer that will spearhead our initiatives in bridging IT and Operational Technology (OT), propel our digital transformation journey, and bolster operations management. Key responsibilities encompass the creation and execution of comprehensive applications, crafting user-centric application interfaces, and performing in-depth analyses to derive meaningful insights. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in IT/ERP platforms and programming languages like Python, HTML, CSS, Visual Studio Code, backed by a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.


Full Time Salaried up to $130,000 plus benefits

Onsite daily in Cherry Hill, NJ manufacturing center


Primary Responsibilities

  • Creation and execution of complete SCADA, MES, and CMMS applications, including seamless ERP integration.
  • Safeguarding the integration of Distributed Control Systems into the Ignition Platform Gateway, adhering to stringent cybersecurity protocols.
  • Building and refining applications with a focus on operational usability.
  • Developing strategies for digital transformation with an emphasis on real-time operational and production monitoring.
  • Overseeing IT-OT integration, leading interdisciplinary teams, and determining digital product functionalities.
  • Implementing Lean Six Sigma and TQM strategies to augment operations and promote ongoing improvement, thereby reducing manual data entry and enhancing production efficiency.
  • Conducting advanced data analysis utilizing BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, and Knime to generate practical insights.
  • Managing the integration of data into data lakes and warehouses to support informed decision-making.
  • Steering project management tasks including requirements collection, process mapping, stakeholder interaction, and budget control.
  • Fulfilling other related duties as needed.


Skills and Competencies

  • Expertise in IT/ERP technologies including Python, HTML, CSS, Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, SQL Server, and other Microsoft offerings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data management tools and cloud services, such as Azure IoT Hub, Azure Data Factory, database management (MSSQL, MySQL, SQLite), and BI tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and Knime.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management.
  • Strong communication abilities, both in writing and speaking.
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with OT platforms including Ignition by Inductive Automation, Sepasoft MES, Cirrus Link MQTT modules, and various automation technologies (Rockwell, Siemens, Automation Direct).
  • Additional certifications in project management, Lean Six Sigma, or cybersecurity will be considered favorably.
