What you will do:
- You are responsible for providing compliance support to the company and its respective partners.
- You will conduct legislative research and provide regularly reporting on potentially impactful legislation.
- You will provide backup support for state and lender filings.
How you will do it:
- You will conduct legislative research to determine statutory requirements for products and programs and will assist the manager in decision-making processes regarding actions necessary to comply with legislative and regulatory changes, including creation of new consumer forms.
- You will thoroughly review all relevant bills, GAPA/ACIC/MVPPA updates, and Department of Insurance Opinions and other similar documents, on a regular basis and provide guidance to internal customers.
- You will monitor potentially impactful legislation and report updates to the leadership team.
- You will provide backup assistance for SERFF and lender filings and respond to regulatory agencies regarding filing problem reports or questions regarding filing requirements and or restrictions.
- You will maintain compliance files by state with regards to support product lines.
What we look for:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of compliance and legislative research experience required.
- 2-5 years of industry-related (automotive industry and F&I products) compliance experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret regulations and laws, analyze data, draw conclusions and develop appropriate solutions.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral forms.
- Ability to multitask, work independently and stay organized.
- Must be adept with technology including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat PDF Writer.
