Company Description
Alkaios Transportation is a trucking and logistics company based in Rockwall, TX. With over 25 years of combined 3PL experience, our team is dedicated to providing reliable and cost-effective solutions to thousands of shippers across the United States. We strive to be the trusted niche capacity resource to our customers in support of their core carrier programs.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role in Rockwall, TX, that allows for some remote work. As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for managing the transportation needs of multiple customers, handling customer service inquiries, dispatching carriers, and building long-term relationships with independent carriers. You will be accountable for ensuring all shipments are processed within the customer’s service expectations, coordinating with customers, carriers, and internal staff as needed.
Qualifications
- Freight Brokerage and Brokerage skills
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to manage and fulfill customer needs
- Ability to dispatch shipments and communicate with drivers and customers
- Experience in account management, including managing the logistics of multiple customers
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role
- Ability to work with multiple internal and external parties to achieve goals.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
