Job Title: Project Manager


Overview: Sendero Industries, headquartered in Houston, Texas is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and manage various aspects of civil construction projects, focusing primarily on large-scale underground utility and earthwork construction. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering civil commercial construction projects valued between $2MM-$10MM and will demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Management:

·        Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

·        Coordinate and manage all project activities, ensuring adherence to milestones and deadlines.

·        Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement proactive mitigation strategies.

·        Provide regular project status updates to clients, internal teams, and management.


2. Utility and Earthwork Expertise:

·        Apply knowledge of utility infrastructure, including water, sewer, and stormwater systems. Experience with cast- in-place concrete is advantageous but not required.

·        Oversee the planning and construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

·        Collaborate with engineering teams to develop effective solutions for project challenges.

·        Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify issues and develop appropriate remediation plans.


3. Team Leadership and Development:

·        Lead a project team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the project lifecycle.

·        Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages open communication and knowledge sharing.

·        Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

·        Identify opportunities for professional development and training to enhance team members' skills and expertise.


4. Client Relationship Management:

·        Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives to deliver tailored solutions.

·        Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.

·        Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development to seek new business opportunities.


Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

·        Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in civil construction and project management, with a focus on utility infrastructure projects.

·        Proven track record of managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.

·        Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

·        Proficiency in project management software and tools.

·        Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing utility infrastructure projects.
