We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Motor Control Firmware Engineer to join our innovative team at a leading space technology company. This role involves developing and implementing firmware for motor control systems used in advanced space applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and test motor control algorithms in firmware for various motor types, including BLDC and PMSM.
- Develop real-time embedded firmware for motor control systems using C/C++.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with motor control hardware.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of firmware to ensure reliability and performance in space environments.
- Optimize firmware for efficiency, performance, and robustness.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in motor control technologies and apply them to improve existing systems.
- Document firmware design, implementation, and testing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in motor control firmware development.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of motor control algorithms and real-time control systems.
- Experience with communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
