This role is vital for ensuring accurate identification, classification, and documentation of spare parts, which enhances availability, reduces costs, and improves overall operational efficiency.

The Spare Parts Coding Specialist will accurately code and catalog spare parts used in our products, maintaining an organized and efficient inventory system to ensure all parts are easily identifiable and accessible. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a background in parts management or a related field.

Candidates must be open to traveling or temporarily relocating to other Sofidel America site locations as needed. This flexibility is crucial for supporting various projects and operational needs across our facilities. We seek individuals who are adaptable, embrace new environments, and are committed to contributing to the success of our team wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and standardize the coding system for spare parts across all Sofidel America sites, ensuring alignment with Group guidelines and industry standards.
  • Accurately input codified parts data into the group management system.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation for each spare part, including specifications, usage, and supplier information.
  • Regularly audit the spare parts database to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in part codification.
  • Coordinate with operating departments to ensure consistent use of codified parts.
  • Collaborate with operating departments to analyze spare parts usage data, identifying patterns and trends.
  • Assist in implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels, balancing availability and cost.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in spare parts codification.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to the codification process.
  • Promote a corporate culture focused on safety, quality, and environmental responsibility.
  • Work closely with the procurement, warehouse, and engineering teams to ensure accurate part identification and availability.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in parts management, inventory control, or a related field is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for spare parts codification.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and management systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in parts data.
  • Willingness to Travel or Relocate: Must be available to travel or temporarily relocate to other Sofidel America locations as required.
