Swagelok, North Carolina | East Tennessee is actively seeking a full-time Key Account Manager. We are a distributor of Swagelok fluid system components, including Fittings, Valves, PTFE and PFA hoses, Regulators, Tubing, Quick Connects, Measurement Devices, Filters, and Orbital Welding.


This position will maintain responsibility for the warehouse functions, workload distribution to support the warehouse and fabrication shop, troubleshooting SAP/general warehouse issues, and ensuring all tasks are completed daily. It will also support other associates at branch locations with SAP troubleshooting. This position will fall under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager. 

 

As the Warehouse Lead, this position is responsible for all incoming and outgoing packages from our facility using FedEx, UPS, and a variety of LTL carriers. The candidate would be required to perform daily activities such as cycle counts, pulling customer orders, packaging, and shipping orders. Duties also will include maintaining company vehicles, ensuring routine maintenance is carried out by a local repair shop, and that all vehicles are cleaned and properly fueled. The candidate is expected to attend in-house Swagelok training to become more knowledgeable about Swagelok parts and accessories. The candidate is expected to deliver customer orders with a company vehicle periodically. The warehouse lead position is expected to travel to other locations for support/process adherence about two times per year. 

 

Candidate must perform duties with a high degree of accuracy, mechanical capabilities, and attention to detail. This individual should be a self-starter who is able to prioritize workloads and be able to shift accordingly as workloads shift during the day or week. Candidate must be able to operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jack, forklift, bandsaw, and tube-facing equipment. This position will require a self-directed candidate capable of working alone with minimal direction. Position also requires standing on concrete floors and continuous walking. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·        Receive packages via FedEx, UPS, and LTL carriers

·        Pick, print, and package customer orders

·        Prepare orders for customer pick up and contact the customer that the order is ready

·        Prepare orders for salesmen to deliver

·        Preform strategic deliveries to nearby customers

·        Supporting warehouse associates as a point of contact for SAP troubleshooting

·        Track and trace packages and parts

·        Schedule LTL carriers for freight pick-up

·        Cycle counting of inventory

·        Print and assemble simple production orders

·        Maintain warehouse equipment: Banding machine, forklift, carts

·        Maintain packaging supplies and reporting to the Warehouse Manager while reordering is necessary

·        Keep warehouse neat and orderly

·        Cut tubing as required

·        Maintain Visual Acuity certification to inspect returned products

·        Maintain company vehicles and report any discrepancies

 

 

 

 

Position Requirements:

 

Education: Desired – Associate Degree

 

Skills/Knowledge: Dependable, self-motivated, good communication skills, attention to detail, speed and accuracy, customer-focused, demonstrate innovative thinking and sound judgment, willing to learn, able to multitask, comfortable working alone and part of a team.

 

·        Inventory Control experience required

·        Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word required

·        Experience with UPS WorldShip and FedEx Manager preferred but not required

·        Experience with SAP Business One preferred but not required

·        Basic IT knowledge, hardware, and software are a plus

·        Clean driving record
