Plant HR Manager

As the Plant HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of their manufacturing operations by leading human resources efforts within the plant facility. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with at least 5 years of experience in a plant environment, adept at managing recruitment, employee relations, engagement, performance management and other HR functions.
Plant HR Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various positions within the plant
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely filling of vacancies
- Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and make hiring recommendations aligned with organizational goals and values
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a fair and timely manner
- Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees on HR policies, procedures and best practices
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and take appropriate corrective actions as needed
- Develop and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive work culture within the plant
- Implement programs and activities aimed at recognizing and rewarding employee contributions
- Analyze employee feedback and survey data to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans accordingly
- Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations and development planning
- Provide guidance to managers on performance-related matters, including coaching, feedback and performance improvement plans
- Ensure compliance with performance management policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations
- Administer HR programs and processes, including benefits administration, leave management and employee documentation
- Stay abreast of changes in HR laws and regulations and proactively update policies and practices as needed
Plant HR Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or plant environment
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices and regulations
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, engagement and performance management
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
