Looking to hire a Radio Frequency engineer to work on-site in Bellevue, WA with strong In-Building experience, Atoll and iBwave Certified.

What you will be doing as a Radio Frequency Engineer?":

  • Assist with in-building design.
  • Provide high-level overview of DAS (Distributed Antenna System) functionality and its components.
  • Support engineers in project creation and task completion to align with network project build plans.
  • Create site design RFDS (Radio Frequency Design Specification) and complete plumbing diagrams.
  • Use propagation tools and RF-related equipment such as MapInfo, Google Earth, and ATOLL to assess site candidates, review and select propagation, coverage zoning, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and submit E-911 filings and determine regulatory coverage boundaries for site extensions, including FAA/FCC filings.
  • Prepare necessary zoning justification packages and regulatory filings for site submissions.
  • Collaborate with the real estate team to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline site acquisition, leasing, and zoning submission processes.
  • Conduct RFE (Radio Frequency Exposure) analysis, generate required reports, and ensure full compliance with RFE mitigation standards within allotted timeframes.
  • Analyze post-activation sites to ensure accuracy in project and database reporting.
  • Automate processes where possible and share information with team members.
  • Audit and correct internal databases to ensure accurate project implementation and reporting.



What do you bring to the table as a Radio Frequency Engineer?

  • 4G and 5G network design and implementation
  • iBWave certification (Level 2 or 3) to assist with in-building design
  • In-depth knowledge of antennas, RF engineering, and signal transmission/reception/propagation
  • Strong understanding of band performance capabilities and limitations
  • Familiarity with 3GPP Performance KPIs and their impact on design
  • Understanding of the effects of terrain and indoor structures on signal propagation
  • Knowledge of topographical maps and digital terrain databases
  • Expertise in antenna system design, including types such as Hex/Octo port panel, cross-pol array, MIMO, and antenna performance (gain, EIRP, ERP)
  • Considerations for macro site and small cell designs in urban, suburban, and rural environments
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets
  • ATOLL
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (advanced experience level)
  • Google Earth
  • FCC ASR and ULS databases
  • Visio, Tableau, GIS, Ixus, RAVE, and other EME (Electromagnetic Exposure) tools
