Senior Manager of Learning Technology

General Purpose of the Job



The Senior Manager of Learning Technology is responsible for leading the strategic direction and operational performance of enterprise learning technologies. This role focuses on the management, development, and enhancement of learning platforms, primarily the Learning Experience Platform (LXP) and Learning Management System (LMS). The Senior Manager collaborates closely with technical, operational, and learning teams to drive the enterprise learning technology roadmap, ensuring solutions meet business needs and create scalable, efficient learning experiences. This position is also accountable for maintaining high levels of learning technology efficiency and user satisfaction through continuous innovation and process improvement. Additionally, the Senior Manager oversees the performance and development of their team and manages relationships with vendors.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and Execute Learning Technology Strategy
  • Collaborate with IT to prioritize and manage the enterprise learning technologies roadmap, processes, governance, and requests for new additions to the learning technology ecosystem.
  • Manage day-to-day functionality and performance of the LXP and LMS, including developing and implementing standardized processes and procedures
  • Plan UAT and launch system enhancements and upgrades
  • Provide Level-3 support for escalated learning technology issues
  • Manage the performance and development of teammate(s) and vendor relationships.



Education and Experience

  • 4- 6 years' experience in Learning Technology
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience required.



Specialized Experience, Education, Training or Certifications

  • Masters’ Degree in related field (such as technology management or adult learning)
  • 4-years’ minimum experience administering Learning Experience Platforms and/or Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
  • Proficiency in API and basic web programming (HTML, JS, CSS, etc…) preferred.
  • 4-years’ minimum experience leading technology-related teams required.
  • 4-years’ minimum experience administering technology systems and platforms for a medium-sized company required.


Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Certified Expert in Cornerstone On Demand preferred.
