Interior Designer

Summer Hours - 4 day work week

The Designer/Project Coordinator is responsible for gathering information for the sales staff and the client to create accurate drawings for the sales staff to estimate the project. After the sales staff closes the contract it is this individual’s responsibility to complete accurate construction drawings, coordinate all activities related to the actual project including material, labor and subcontractors. This person is responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the project with the means of contract.

Position Responsibilities

• Creating accurate conceptual drawings and presenting to the customer for review and acceptance
• Provide written work scopes with specifications about the project
• Completing the construction drawings to the specifications that are agreed upon by the sales staff and the customer.
• Procuring specialty products needed to facilitate the design.
• Maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the project.

Position Requirements

Must have good knowledge of home construction, computers, and appropriate software

Cabinet detailing and 20/20 software experience would be beneficial to this position

Must have good communication, job coordination and supervisory skills

The ability to interact and communicate with crews, subcontractors and clients is crucial to this position

Must be available for extended work hours as required

Must have a reliable vehicle

Must maintain a professional image, demonstrate a high level of integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree 2 - 3 years of experience in related field Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite
• Chief Architect and 20/20 cabinet design software experience a plus
• Strong creative and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to execute
