Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves working closely with students in a school setting to implement therapeutic interventions and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Document progress, treatment plans, and consultations with staff.
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
- Utilize Google Drive for documentation, scheduling, and sharing resources.
- Take initiative in developing engaging therapy activities tailored to individual student needs.
- Maintain an organized approach to planning and implementing therapy sessions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Experience in a school setting preferred.
- Proficient in using Google Drive and other digital tools for documentation and collaboration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and adapt to changing environments.
