My client is a fast growing civil engineering company dedicated to providing innovative, sustainable, high-quality solutions across a series of services including land survey, site design, planning, environmental permitting, wastewater and stormwater, athletic facilities and playgrounds, multi-modal pathways and trails, retaining and sea walls, public bids and specifications, and more. The Company services a spectrum of clients including residential home owners, commercial businesses, developers, municipalities, and is expanding into regional, state and federal projects.
About the Role:
The Professional Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, leadership, and a strong ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. The position also includes opportunities to support business growth through client relationship management and business development, with a clear path towards a future management role as desired.
Responsibilities:
- Managing civil engineering projects from concept to completion
- Leading environmental and ecological restoration projects from concept to completion
- Conducting and supervising site investigations, resource evaluations, surveys, and feasibility studies
- Preparing detailed engineering proposals, designs, and plans
- Overseeing client project activities and ensuring adherence to project specifications
- Collaborating with our internal as well as external teams of engineers, architects, and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes and deliverables
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards
- Bolstering the growth of STE as a business by bringing in new clients, helping grow existing client relationships, and contributing to business development and marketing activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Certified Professional Engineer (P.E.) or certified Engineer in Training (E.I.T) with the intention of applying for the P.E. exam in the upcoming year.
- 7+ years minimum of experience managing civil engineering projects required, with exposure to environmental permitting and ecological restoration as preferred.
- Proven experience in full lifecycle project management from concept to completion.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and environmental codes is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD / Civil3D, HydroCad or comparable.
