Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager for ChildLife Essentials is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the Company’s procurement of saleable inventory beginning with intent to purchase through delivery. The Supply Chain Manager role is integral to the success of the Company’s operations and will work closely with personnel across all departments and reporting to the Director of Operations.
This is an exempt full-time 40 hour per week position. In office Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Essential Job Functions
· Work effectively with various department heads to manage the procurement process from start to finish:
a) Implement and maintain procurement systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
b) Determine inventory needs based on understanding of operations, collaboration between departments, and analysis of current activities
c) Work with contract manufacturers to determine lead times for all products and gain an understanding of the basis for such lead times (ie: procurement of raw materials and packaging, testing)
d) Develop timeline with contract manufacturers regarding the delivery of materials purchased by the Company, such as raw materials, labels, and packaging supplies
e) Diligently and consistently communicate with all suppliers. Such communication includes, but is not limited to: timeline and status of components to be delivered directly to contract manufacturers, necessary approvals on artwork, changes to open orders, and status updates on production, testing clearance, and delivery.
f) Place orders, monitor status, and update systems, reports, and key stakeholders of changes to status.
g) Work with Warehouse and Quality Departments to efficiently schedule pick-up/delivery of finished products
h) Communicate with suppliers regarding any discrepancies and/or defects upon receipt of finished products
· Work with Research & Development Department on new products, including sourcing and/or negotiating with potential suppliers.
· Work with Regulatory Department on labeling requirements for various regions and ensure labels are purchased accordingly
· Work with sales and marketing teams to gain a thorough understanding of sales forecasts, marketing efforts, and marketing programs to adequately manage supply chain
· Monitor and analyze customer purchases to facilitate productive planning with sales and marketing teams
· Continuously evaluate and improve procurement practices, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and process honing.
· Develop and maintain metrics and reporting to present to management.
· Communicate with Finance Department to ensure adequate management of cash flow
· Other duties as required
Experience/Training/Education/Abilities
· Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent field experience.
· 3+ years of experience in procurement/supply in manufacturing and/or distribution
· Management/supervisory experience
· Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
· ERP system experience; NetSuite is a plus
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
· Excellent planning, organization, leadership, presentation, decision making, analytical skills, and reasoning
