Onward Search is hiring for a Advertising Copywriter in Oakbrook Terrace, IL Our agency client

specializes in direct-to-consumer channels, primarily in the insurance and financial services sectors in all forms of direct-to-consumer media channels, from digital advertising to TV and streaming media/video, radio/broadcast, print, direct mail and more. This is a permanent position. In-office ideally once a QTR but prefers someone local.


Primary Role:

Strategic marketing copywriter with the ability to create compelling sales and lead-generation content. The ability to develop designs to the concept level is a great advantage. Attention to detail is paramount.


This position will have an active role regarding project and resource management within the creative department.


The ideal candidate will be passionate about design and direct marketing, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and be able to participate in developing creative material from the early stages of strategic planning to the execution of digital ads and messages.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the creative team in developing marketing materials and promotional campaigns.
  • Manage and track project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Support in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Prepare presentation materials for internal and external use.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including file management and meeting coordination.
  • Proofread and edit content for clarity and consistency.
  • Maintain an organized library of digital assets


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, communications, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience specifically in marketing writing/development or similar position.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) or similar tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content management systems.
