Project: Bridges Integrated Eligibility System (IES) / Illinois Integrated Eligibility System (IES)

Overview

The Security Architect will oversee and ensure the security and compliance of the Illinois Integrated Eligibility System (IES). This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining a secure architecture that adheres to all State and federal standards. As part of this long-term project, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to safeguard the system against potential threats while meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security frameworks tailored to the IES environment.
• Ensure alignment with federal and State regulations, including HIPAA, FISMA, and NIST standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend strategies to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Oversee the security architecture for all IES components, including cloud and on-premises environments.
• Implement and enforce best practices for application security, such as secure coding, access controls, and encryption.
• Monitor for compliance with data privacy and protection laws.
• Apply required State and federal standards across the solution to ensure regulatory compliance.
