Scientist - Clinical Biomarker

Meet's partenered with a growing clinical-staged genetics startup in the SF Bay Area on an exciting new search for a talented Scientist - Clinical Biomarker
You'll be responsible for conducting essential activities for clinical drug development by supporting the development of biomarker assays for evaluating drug candidates. You'll also ensure methods are developed, validated, and executed while maintaining records of assay performance, clinical sample inventory, or other essential documents for clinical testing. This opportunity is about 50% in lab.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, validate, qualify, and implement clinical biomarker assays to support bioanalytical and clinical development of drug candidates.
- Manage outsourcing to CROs and other external vendors.
- Troubleshoot assays to support clinical studies and maintain project timelines
- Conduct testing of clinical samples.
- Analyze, document, and report lab data.
- Lab maintenance activities, equipment installation and calibration to maintain a clean and safe lab environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience in Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology, Immunology, or similar fields.
- Experience with clinical assay development, validation, and qualification.
- Experience in blood cultures, cell cultures, tissue biospecimens, qPCR, differential gene expression analysis, ELISA, and immunoassays on major platforms including but not limited to MSD, Luminex, AlphaLisa, SIMOA, etc.
- Experience in Flow Cytometry and comic (gene and protein) platforms.
- Experience managing CROs and other external vendors.
- Willing to be in the lab 50% of the time.
