Graphic Designer

Lead Graphic Designer - Home Textiles (2-4 Years of Experience Required)  

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced full-time Graphic Designer to lead our design team in the creation of design/production files and marketing materials for our home furnishings (home décor) company. Laural Home is a home décor company with over 40 years of experience, specializing in bedding, bath, decorative pillows, table linens, rugs, and pet beds. This job would be designing all aspects of the production process, including working with our overseas vendors for sampling, color approvals, and organizing orders. Our process starts by selecting art from our base of talented artists and studios from around the world. 

Please note this position is full time in our Cresskill, NJ office, it is not a remote position.

Qualifications for Lead Graphic Designer - Home Textiles:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Textiles experience
• Minimum 2-4 years of design and marketing experience
• E-Commerce experience, including the ability to manage online setups, retailer portals and online digital accounts.
• Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
• Interest in home textiles and/or fashion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Experience with Shopify is a plus
• Ability to commute into the Cresskill, NJ office as this is a hybrid position requiring 3+ days onsite.

Job Duties for Lead Graphic Designer - Home Textiles:

• Use our licensed art images to create production-ready files utilizing Photoshop, Illustrator, Dropbox, WeTransfer, and Sharefile.
• Manage our retailers’ online business by loading our products onto their web portals, creating copy, confirming product details, and uploading the final product images.
• Ensure our products successfully go live on our e-commerce store and other retailers, i.e. Wayfair, Amazon, Overstock, Macy's, JCP, etc.
• Create and manage our marketing materials, including eye-catching and innovative banners for our website and email blasts, using Omnisend, as well as ads for social media (Facebook, Google, and Instagram).
• Maintain both our Shopify platform and other retailer sites by creating mock-ups for the sites, sale banners, trend boards, etc.
• Create design presentations for existing and potential retail customers.
• Organize records of artists' work, including licensing information and freelancer projects.
• Create original packaging inserts.
• Effectively communicate and follow up with our overseas factories.
