Hours: 40hrs/week


Shift Timing: Day, 8am – 5pm


License and certifications:

•Active Texas State license

•Required certifications: BLS, RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB, RVT


Responsibilities:

  • Patient Preparation: Explain procedures, obtain patient history, and ensure comfort.
  • Performing Scans: Conduct ultrasound exams using appropriate equipment settings.
  • Image Capture and Analysis: Obtain and preliminarily analyze high-quality images.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and document findings.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functioning of ultrasound equipment.
  • Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Professional Development: Keep up with continuing education and advancements in ultrasound technology.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Required work setting: Outpatient, Inpatient, ER, Community Hospital


Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as ultrasound technologist

•Required experience: PACS, Portables, General, Abdomen, OB/GYN, Renal/Pelvis, Small Parts, Doppler Studies, Renal Artery Duplex, Upper/lower extremity venous, Upper/lower extremity arterial, M-Mode, Renal Artery Duplex


Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required
