Network Architect

A Network Architect is an experienced network engineer who makes high-level decisions relative to network design and oversees the implementation or modification of the Local Area and Wide Area Networks.


The Network Architect works closely with network engineers, information technology analysts, and specialists to determine the optimal network design for any system under consideration with emphasis on technology used, efficiency of design, and enhanced reliability.

As a member of our Corporate Technology Group, your job would involve:

  • Designing the hardware and software that manage MEDITECH's data and voice network infrastructure
  • Designing MEDITECH's customer support network
  • Designing MEDITECH's Internet, Public and Private Wide Area Networks, interfaces, and monitoring systems
  • High level troubleshooting of all LAN and WAN issues using network analyzers or other diagnostic tools
  • Overseeing remote access network operations
  • Mentoring of technical staff, education and training of technical staff in networking and customer support roles
  • Designing secure networks and advising the Enterprise Security group in network security matters
  • Developing enterprise class networks for cloud based systems
  • Debugging code as it relates to access on MEDITECH's networks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred and/or 10+ years applicable work or military experience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Programming experience in multiple languages and technologies
  • Expert level understanding of MEDITECH networks and software
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Has a foundation in systems development
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to take the initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

This is a hybrid role which includes a blend of in-office and remote work as designated by the management team.
