Location: Chicago, IL (2x per week onsite)


Our client is looking for a Data Visualization Designer to join their team This resource will support the team in enhancing the visual appeal and functionality of BI dashboards. The objective is to transition towards a product mindset, developing a standardized set of KPIs and visuals for a global analytics platform. The focus of the Data Visualization Designer is on creating sharp, polished, and professional dashboards to support their initiative centered on the US commercial space sector, aiming to develop a consolidated diagnostic tool.


Responsibilities:

  • and enhance BI dashboards, with a specific emphasis on visual design.
  • with the team to achieve the first release milestone by the end of June, contributing to a multi-year project.
  • Power BI to construct dashboards and templates, ensuring they are visually appealing, polished, and aligned with corporate design standards.
  • data storytelling techniques to effectively communicate insights through visuals.
  • PowerPoint presentations for senior leaders, applying skills that can be translated to templatizing Power BI dashboards.
  • to standard dashboarding and reporting practices, improving overall data visualization capabilities.


Requirements:

  • in Power BI and PowerPoint (experience with similar BI tools acceptable).
  • years of relevant experience in UX design, particularly in the context of BI dashboards.
  • with Agile methodologies (experience working in Agile is a plus).
  • to work within a Jira board environment (experience with Jira is advantageous).
  • and accountable, with a proactive approach to collaboration and problem-solving.


The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in UX design, with a focus on transforming data into compelling narratives through visually impactful dashboards. They will demonstrate proficiency in Power BI and PowerPoint, along with the ability to work effectively within an Agile framework. Additionally, they will exhibit a high level of initiative and accountability in their work.
