First Brands Group is hiring a Molding Supervisor to work in our DALTON brand located in Warsaw IN.


The Molding Supervisor:

Has the responsibility of running the mold line.

Supervises up to 15 hourly employees


Principal activities

  • Supervises up to 15 hourly personnel.
  • Make decisions on production and quality based on experience, use of methods, systems, and techniques.
  • Make sure that the work area is safe.
  • Provide direction, guidance, training, and motivation to the hourly employees.
  • Evaluate scrap, and work with quality people on implementing changes to lower scrap.
  • Work with maintenance on machine problems that affect quality and production.
  • Fill out required paperwork to track production, downtime, quality and overtime.
  • Analyze data from reports and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Work with production control, pattern shop, and the core room to prepare each job to be run.
  • Coordinate with the melting department on the requirements needed for iron.


Education and Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience in green sand molding, training in defect analysis, statistical process control, greensand property testing, and training in gating and risering.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as QCL's, MSDS sheets, and other related documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or supervisors.
