Summary:

Our client is a premier tier 1 supplier who is looking to add an experienced and professional Plant Controller to their team. The Plant Controller is responsible for establishing, directing, and maintaining the accounting activities to meet the business strategy of the Company. This includes acting as the primary financial advisor, providing financial analysis and planning, cost accounting, profit/loss reporting and performing other related tasks as required.

The Plant Controller should have a Minimum of 6 years experience in the accounting field

Plant Controller Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business, MBA/CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years equivalent experience in accounting field
  • Must have knowledge of principles, practices, and methods of modern office practices, procedures, methods, and accounting equipment
  • Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Must possess managerial skills, including ability to interact well with people and lead people in a professional manner at all times

Plant Controller Description:

  • the management of all accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, MPC procedures, accounting files and reports, and other functions of the department, including journal entries, accounting corrections, general ledger, analysis and review of revenues, reimbursements, expenditures, fixed assets, or other proprietary and budgetary accounts
  • manage division forecast and financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations
  • Develop division’s operating budget and monthly forecasts
  • Responsible for overseeing and safeguarding the company’s assets
  • Effectively manage working capital: inventory/receivables/payables to improve the company’s cash flow position
  • Assist the management team by providing relevant operating information that enables effective management of the division
  • Analyze, consolidate, and publish accounting data in conjunction with other statistical and routine reports
  • Oversee and support year ending financial audits
  • Interaction with Corporate office regarding financial performance of division and any related accounting issues
  • Support Corporate/Division lean function activities
