We are seeking a Payroll Specialist who will work in our Accounting department for our facility in Valdosta, Georgia.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for bi-weekly payroll by entering, maintaining, and processing information in the payroll system; information may include employee’s hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions and or information.
  • Corporate Monthly Reporting - Report for Controllers, Report for HR and to be completed in conjunction with Accounting Magnitude, Year-end Bonus basis report, seniority report for Union, company midyear and year-end reporting.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires and terminations.
  • Processes payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.

  • Partners with HR department and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or associate degree with relevant experience.

3 to 5 years of experience in payroll process.
