White Haven Memorial Park is looking for a personable and enthusiastic sales person to fill the position of Memorial Counselor. QUALIFICATIONS:

MANDATORY –at least 3- 5 years or more of customer service experience with excellent skills in building relationships with families and with individuals. We seek a mature compassionate team player with a congenial personality, who enjoys a high degree of customer contact and who has an even disposition to handle stressful as well as emotional situations. Candidate must have excellent interpersonal relationship skills as the candidate will work with the elderly population and/or bereaved. Both patience and the ability to communicate effectively are necessary. Cemetery sales experience is a plus.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Skillfully and successfully sell our products and services, both at the time of need and before need. Must have a good knowledge of processes, principles and methods for selling products and services.
• Initiate conversations and follow-up with customers to recommend and sell our products and services. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in person, via email and on the phone.
• Have the ability to create and maintain a follow-up system. Must be highly organized, detailed oriented with excellent time management skills. Must be a self–starter, goal driven, with the ability to work independently and as a viable contributor to the team.
• Conduct cemetery inventory checks daily.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with area funeral homes as well as their staff.
• Attend cemetery staff trainings or events when appropriate and available.
• Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office operation system with extensive knowledge in Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Outlook.
• Valid NYS driver’s license with no restrictions is required.
• Must be able to physically show property throughout the Park in all types of weather conditions. This would include both White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford and Lakeview in Canandaigua.

Other duties as determined by their supervisor.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma and a minimum of a two year college degree required.
