As a mulit-family construction Assistant Superintendent, prospective employee will assist the Project Superintendent in various field related assignments including scheduling and supervising on-site subcontractors, scopes of work, and the overall construction process of a multifamily housing project. General duties include:


Responsibilities

  • Be knowledgeable of and communicate safety standards to laborers and subcontractors; enforces safety regulations on all job sites. 
  • Assisting the project superintendent in managing and supervising all subcontractors 
  • Performing consistent quality-control checks and ensuring project operating within established company policy and procedure.
  • Assist in resolution of quality control issues as they arise.
  • Ensuring all products installed in the field are in compliance with approved project submittals.
  • Assisting in the processing of daily field reports, job photos, misc. field documents, etc. 
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned scope(s) of work and ensure that work proceeds smoothly, on schedule and within required project specifications. 
  • Walking project and units for completion and ensuring work is completed in accordance with plans and in a timely manner 
  • Monitor and facilitate Carter & Carter punch process.  This responsibility includes participating in punch walks and distributing punch lists to appropriate parties as necessary.
  • Monitor and control jobsite material inventory.
  • Assist in completion of deficient items noted on Architect/3rd Party Field Reports.
  • Oversee completion of outstanding warranty items.


Qualifications

  • Must be willing to travel. 
  • 3+ years experience in multifamily construction.
  • Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Construction Science or Building Construction. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficiency with Procore. 
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Training in one or more trades within the building industry. 
  • Excellent customer service skills including problem/conflict resolution skills and the ability to handle and diffuse difficult situations. 
  • Ability to prioritize projects, work against deadlines and organize work flow with multiple interruptions.
