Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure and scalable on-prem server infrastructure to support TackleAI's growing needs
  • Develop detailed network diagrams, bills of materials, and standard operating procedures
  • Create and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans, including regular testing and updates
  • Manage firewalls, load balancers, switches, and other networking equipment to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Troubleshoot network issues and outages, and provide timely resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Stay current on new technologies and industry developments, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior network engineers
  • Participate in project planning and implementation as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Network Engineering, with a focus on on-prem server infrastructure
  • Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies (VLAN, STP, RSTP)
  • Strong understanding of network security best practices, including firewall, VPN, and IDS/IPS deployment and configuration
  • Experience with servers virtualization and storage technologies like VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, NetApp, and EMC
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam, Zerto, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or similar certification preferred
