Purchasing Assistant - Capital Purchasing


Pride Health is hiring a Purchasing Assistant for one of its clients in North Carolina.

This is a 3-month contract with a possible extension with competitive pay and benefits.


Location – Greensboro, North Carolina– 27401

Pay range - $45 - $50 per hour.

Length of assignment – 3 months (With possible extension)

Shift – Mon- Fri (8 Am to 5 pm)


Job Duties

  • Sourcing Suppliers: Research and identify potential suppliers for capital equipment and materials needed for various projects.
  • Vendor Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible deals while maintaining quality standards.
  • Purchase Order Processing: Generate purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of capital equipment and materials, reordering as necessary to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze costs associated with capital purchases, including total cost of ownership, to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Quality Assurance: Work with suppliers to ensure that purchased capital equipment and materials meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications for auditing and reporting purposes.
  • Coordination with Other Departments: Collaborate with departments such as Finance, Engineering, and Operations to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with organizational goals and project requirements.
  • Research and Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies related to capital purchasing to make informed decisions and identify potential opportunities for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to purchasing and capital procurement.
  • Problem Resolution: Address any issues or concerns related to capital purchases promptly and effectively, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to find satisfactory solutions.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in capital purchasing
  • In-depth knowledge of capital requirements and depreciation
  • Lawson - Infor experience
  • Healthcare capital procurement
  • Understanding of ECRI capital review
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Project management experience is preferred
  • Understanding of Premier GPO website is preferred
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccine is required.
