Overview

The Lead Teller plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our banking services while providing exceptional customer service. This position involves overseeing teller operations, managing cash transactions, and fostering strong relationships with customers. The Lead Teller will also assist in training and mentoring new staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and promoting financial products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily teller operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy in cash handling.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting banking products.
  • Conduct cash management tasks, including balancing cash drawers and preparing deposits.
  • Assist customers with loan processing and financial sales to meet their needs.
  • Train and mentor new tellers on best practices in customer service and operational procedures.
  • Utilize relationship management skills to build rapport with customers and enhance their banking experience.
  • Perform basic math calculations for transactions and ensure compliance with banking regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions using cash registers and 10 key typing skills.

  • Strong upselling abilities to promote financial products effectively.
  • Proficient in basic math for accurate transaction processing.
  • Experience with cash registers and cash management systems.
  • Background in financial sales to assist customers with their banking needs.
  • Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
  • Knowledge of relationship management techniques to enhance customer loyalty.
  • Familiarity with loan processing procedures is a plus.
  • Proficient in 10 key typing for efficient data entry tasks.
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools is beneficial.
