The perfect applicant will handle quoting for new business across small, medium, and large sectors, as well as remarketing renewal business that necessitates a new placement. Knowledge of standard rating systems from insurance carriers is essential. Additionally, this role involves submitting applications directly to carriers, including wholesalers, for more challenging placements. The position demands both creative and analytical abilities to effectively manage the constantly changing commercial insurance environment. Building and maintaining relationships while attending monthly meetings with insurance carriers is critical. Accounts must be rated using carrier portals. Quotes for small, medium, and large accounts should be submitted directly to carriers. You will need to gather and provide extra underwriting data upon request, collaborating with the producer and account manager to do so. They will help you acquire information from clients that you may not already possess, which should then be relayed to the insurance company. While an understanding of carrier preferences is advantageous, this knowledge can be acquired over time. You will be required to manage employee logins for carrier portals, as you will act as the marketing liaison. Demonstrated experience in a marketing role within a similar sector is necessary (at least five years). An active Property & Casualty Insurance License is required. The ability to thrive in a team setting while also possessing drive and independence is crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with strong attention to detail, are a must. Familiarity with quoting platforms and knowledge of coverages would be beneficial.
