Project Manager

Looking for a motivated individual in the area to be a Project Manager. The successful candidate must work well in a team environment and will be involved in staffing and supervising all construction activities, developing and implementing processes, budgets, pay applications, subcontractor recruitment and contract management.

The job is fast paced and will need a person who is disciplined and plans ahead to be successful. Ideally a project manager familiar with residential/commercial style construction processes will be hired. Responsibilities will include:

Establish and maintain quality working relationships with personnel from ALL facets of project. Subcontractors, various engineering teams, inspectors, residents, and colleagues within your own company.

  • Successfully communicating with all parties
  • Schedule (CPM) generation and maintenance
  • Create and Manage Budgets
  • Quality Control Plan implementation and oversight
  • Building and maintaining a good relationship with all customers
  • Sourcing new material vendors and subcontractors on a regular basis
  • Accurate and consistent project documentation including communication logs, change orders, RFI, completed work documentation, etc.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Professional Estimating as needed

Skills needed to be Successful

  • Read and understand construction plans and specifications
  • Understand ASTM and ICRI guidelines.
  • Competent in comprehension and understanding of safety and OSHA rules.
  • Proficient in understanding and executing Multifamily reconstruction projects.
  • Willingness to constantly improve yourself and your team
  • The drive to get things done by any means necessary
  • Constantly educate yourself and strive to learn more everyday
  • Communicate Efficiently — Be able to manage through all personality types, properly draft an email and be able to use excel and Microsoft word
  • Ability to be proactive and solve problems before they occur
  • Evaluate what is working and were we need to get better and efficiently communicate with the team to find the solution
  • Will need to help deliver the vision of the company to all internal and external customers.

Qualifications

4-year Construction Degree or Business Degree* or* equivalent applied field experience

10 years minimum construction experience

Computer Literacy required

Microsoft Office experience required
