A leading global law firm in San Francisco seeks a Patent Secretary/Specialist to join their collaborative team. The Patent Prosecution Legal Secretary provides full administrative and document processing support to assigned groups of attorneys and/or paralegals.


  • Hybrid Schedule


Responsibilities

  • File patent and design application documents
  • Prepare Office Action draft shell and client reporting email
  • Prepare and record assignments
  • Performs research as requested
  • Open new matters and run conflict checks as requested
  • Check the status and look up information for U.S. and international patents and apps
  • Calendaring and scheduling meetings
  • Draft correspondences
  • Other administrative duties as needed


Qualifications

  • 4+ years' work experience in a law firm environment, or related professional experience.
  • IP experience is preferred
  • Tech savvy and strong organizational and records management skills
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and court system and rules for filings and correspondence
  • Excellent communication skills
