Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Needham, Massachusetts. This contract-to-hire opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization


Responsibilities:

  • Perform Clinical and Non-Clinical Duties: Conduct direct patient care activities such as taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy, administering injections, and assisting with EKGs, while also managing administrative tasks like patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, and data entry.
  • Coordinate Pre-Visit Preparations: Ensure all necessary pre-visit activities are completed, including organizing patient charts, addressing special patient needs, and scheduling relevant labs and tests before appointments.
  • Facilitate Patient Flow: Escort patients to examination rooms, take vital signs and prepare them for provider evaluations while maintaining a patient-sensitive and professional environment.
  • Support Clinical Procedures: Assist providers with office procedures, prepare and submit laboratory requisitions, and ensure accurate specimen collection and submission per protocol.
  • Manage Patient Communication: Communicate laboratory and imaging results and prescription instructions to patients following practice protocols and provider directions.
  • Maintain Office Cleanliness and Compliance: Clean and restock examination rooms, manage equipment sterilization, and ensure strict confidentiality of patient records, including treatment, diagnosis, and financial information.


Qualifications:

  • High School graduate, GED or equivalent
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant training program
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Basic Life Support (AHA) certification
  • Over 1 year of experience

Additional Information:

  • Location: Needham, Massachusetts
  • Job Type: contract to hire.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday – 07:00 am to 05:00 pm
  • Pay Range: $ 20.00 to 28.00/hour.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
