Our client is looking for an experienced Front Desk Manager to join their full-service stay hotel, restaurant and conference center in the Greater Boston area.

SUMMARY

The Hotel Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all front desk operations, ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs, managing front desk staff, and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction. This role involves direct interaction with guests, coordination with other departments, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Front Desk Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day front desk operations, ensuring smooth check-ins, check-outs, and guest services.
  • Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for front office operations.
  • Monitor front desk activities to ensure high levels of efficiency and customer service.


Staff Management

  • Hire, train, and supervise front desk staff, including receptionists and concierge personnel.
  • Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Provide guidance and support to front desk staff, addressing any issues that arise.


Guest Services

  • Interact with guests to ensure a positive experience and handle any complaints or concerns.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for guests.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet guest needs and expectations.


Financial Management

  • Manage front desk budgets, including labor costs and operational expenses.
  • Oversee cash handling, room rates, and billing processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper financial reporting.


Technology and Systems

  • Maintain and update front desk technology systems, including hotel management software.
  • Ensure front desk staff are trained in the use of all relevant systems and tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience in hotel front office management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a focus on guest satisfaction.
