POSITION SUMMARY

Join our team as a Technical Support Specialist focused on supporting the K12 network and PC/laptop devices for our valued clients. This role involves assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of personal computers, networks, and other IT equipment and systems. Under supervision, you'll play a vital role in identifying and resolving system issues. As you gain experience, you'll have the opportunity for more independent work. This position is based in the Long Island Area, with the incumbent reporting onsite to the School District.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with a team of network engineers, reporting directly to Lead Network Admin Directors, to support, administer, and repair current network and network devices.
  • Contribute to the development and design of network architectures for various school tasks and clients.
  • Diagnose computer and network problems, provide assistance in resolving issues, and escalate software problems to appropriate staff members or vendors if needed.
  • Participate in on-site client deployments and provide cutover support and day-after support for projects.
  • Attend internal project status and engineering meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of weekly project and support activities on time sheets.

DESIRED SKILLSET/EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred: Associate degree in computer science; certifications such as CNE, MCSE, CCNA are a plus.
  • 3 of post-education experience.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate dedication to completing assigned activities.
  • Strong customer support and interaction skills.
  • Experience with Visio/AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, SolarWinds, and Google Admin Suite is advantageous.
