Position Overview

The Fire Sprinkler Designer will play a crucial role in designing fire protection systems tailored to the specific needs of various projects while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. This position requires a technical understanding of hydraulic systems and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams to deliver innovative and efficient fire protection solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed fire sprinkler system designs using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
  • Conduct hydraulic calculations and modeling to ensure effective water supply and distribution.
  • Review and interpret project plans and specifications to create accurate fire protection designs.
  • Ensure all designs are compliant with NFPA codes and local fire safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate fire sprinkler systems into building designs.
  • Prepare and maintain design documentation and project files.
  • Provide support during the installation phase, including site visits and coordination with contractors.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Designer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software is essential.
  • Experience with HydraCAD and hydraulic modeling software is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Bachelors degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
