Client: Major St. Louis based regional healthcare system and one of the 25 largest in the U.S. operating over 90 medical facilities across 8 states employing over 2,000 physicians and over 44,000 employees. Overview:

  • Formulate and define business scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of business and industry requirements.
  • Perform functional analysis, requirements, definition and application module configuration and testing.
  • Responsible for conducting prototypes, developing functional specifications, data mapping, function mapping, setting of configuration tables and setting of transaction/control tables
  • Apply thorough understanding of the business processes and flows to enable the analysis of business requirements and the development of solutions for the business functions Responsible for the identification of and resolution of gaps in the business processes.
  • Participate in security/authorization set-up, user documentation, data interface design, data migration and reconciliation.
  • Potential involvement in the installation and tuning of modification, as well as archiving data.


Role:

  • Responsible for defining detailed requirements, analyzing business needs, and validating solutions with the client.
  • Provide detailed requirement through product development and other functions to support the project team.
  • Configure highly complex components based on functional requirements.
  • Monitor other business or technical analysts in project software development methods and processes and implementation of those methods.
  • Evaluate development projects.
  • Assist in tailoring the development process to meet the project needs.
  • Provide technology direction to business for tactical approaches.
  • Provide support to end-users for application configuration and/or in house developed applications.
  • Proficiently apply IT methods, professional knowledge and client standards and practices to complex tasks and situations.
  • Coach less experienced IT professionals.
  • Work with project manager to develop realistic work estimates, financial budgets & project schedules. Review project deliverables for accuracy and provide assistance and mentoring to others
  • Accountable for addressing customer needs through individual action.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification in EpicCare Ambulatory and Epic Beacon.
  • 5+ years of relevant technical or business work experience.
  • Experience in full cycle implementation, analysis, workflow, build, configuration, testing, optimization, upgrades and go-live end user support.
  • Experience with requirements management, diagramming, and use case development.
  • Experience in process design, reengineering, and requirements documentation methodologies.
  • Experience in the design and production of quality deliverables general understanding of software Development life cycle vendor relationship skills.
  • Skilled in project management, has ability to small projects good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Possess full technical knowledge of most phases of system analysis.
