A&P Mechanic Phoenix Metro Area $30-$41/hr


Summary

The A&P Mechanic is responsible for performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on flight school aircraft. The mechanic must ensure that all work is completed in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements. 4/10 schedule on days.


Responsibilities

  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical data such as maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations relating to Title 14 parts 43 and 91.
  • Maintaining clean and organized work areas.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts as needed.


REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

  • Airframe and Powerplant license required at the time of hire. Must be able to obtain Inspection Authorization within three months of hire.

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of three recent and consecutive years of GA experience as a certificated A&P.
  • Experience on Piper aircraft is preferred.
  • G1000 experience is a plus.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work independently with the capability to make airworthiness decisions.
  • Manage workflow and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA regulations.
  • Make aircraft logbook entries and release aircraft for return to service.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn maintenance management software.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, proactive in maintaining productivity.
  • Flexible/adaptable to a fast-changing pace and instructions according to flight school priorities.
