Direct Agents is looking for a talented Product Manager to drive the development of our next-generation products and ensure they meet the needs of our users and stakeholders.
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our brand new media product, from ideation through launch. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, to create a product that resonates with our audience and aligns with our business goals.
Ways you’ll make an impact
You’ll be responsible for helping design and manage an AI Platform that can provide automated insights, performance analysis, and forecasting. This platform will be used internally to guide key business decisions. You will be the primary owner responsible for leading the project, working closely with our Head of Data Analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the product vision and strategy in alignment with overall company goals.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, user needs, and opportunities for product innovation.
- Gather and prioritize product requirements from stakeholders, translating them into actionable user stories and features.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery, facilitating agile development processes.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Monitor product performance through metrics and user feedback, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries, representing the product to internal and external stakeholders.
Desired Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA is a plus
- 4+ years proven experience as a Product Manager in the media, technology, or entertainment industry; startups are a plus
- Strong understanding for AI (aka machine learning, deep learning, neural networks)
- Strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel).
- Passion for media and an understanding of industry trends, audience behavior, and emerging technologies.
Technical Requirements
Must have familiarity with:
- AI - OpenAI, Anthropic, LLMs, Perplexity
- Frameworks: Next js, React
- Databases - Azure (mainly utilized), and GBQ
- Data Ingestion - Automated data ingestion using Improvado service (mainly utilized) or custom-built Python scripts
- Data Transformation - Using Power Query or custom-built Python scripts
- Javascript
This role is based in our NYC office and you must reside or be willing to relocate within commuting distance of the office for this role.
